EyePlorer is a kind of tool that enables the students to search anything they want in different places from Wikipedia to Google Images. It also shows the students the related words according to their relevance indicated by colors.This tool has also a notepad beside. You can drag the explanations there and have a lot of what you have found. If you sign up you can save this lot also.

Students can type any word they want to search in the center of the circle. In the new page the circle will be full of all the reated words according to their category. The colors represent categories. At the left of the circle There will be information about the word we type mostly the definiton of it.

 

If we move the cursor on to a word in the circle, without clicking on it, a small window will be opened and it includes eyePlorer facts, websearch, images and twitter. On this small wndow we can make research on 4 different place in the internet

 

Apart from these, at the left of the circle there is also the option of notepad. After opening the notepad at the left of the circle, we can drag the definitons on the small window to the notepad.You don’t have to click on the concepts, it’s enough just to move the cursor on them. The definiton window will be opened.

If we get an account we can save the notepad. It’s like taking notes. You can also add new page to the notepad or you can continue using the same page. You can even add Headline to the page .

Collocations: This tool will give more space to the students to find out the collocations of the words. As the tool search the word you wanted in 4 different place in internet, it’s more tidy. Vocabulary tests will be work good with this tool.

Writing: The teacher may want the students to produce some reading texts by just giving them one word and this tool will give the students the other related words.

Brainstorming: This tool works like a brainstormer. For the students from the intermediate or above, it will be helpful to come up with new ideas. After working with this tool for a while, the students will get used to produce new ideas.

Research: Students can just be given a homework on research. They are expected to collect all the related information and this tool is easy to use as it has a notepad in it.

Sometimes unrelated words can come when you search. Actually they are related somehow but not the ones you need. Students can lose in those words and may not know which one to include their studies.
